This tape has been specially developed for glass where it can be applied to all four corners of the windscreen to help prevent damage that can occur during shipping, handling and storage. Leaves no residue on the glass and endures direct sunlight, rain and snow. Can also be used to hold mouldings and glass in place whilst the urethane cures. Perforated for ease of use. Normal stock colour orange but colour may vary. Sold in single rolls.
Marcy Tip-Tape Windscreen Protection Tape
Applications: Designed to protect and reduce damage and breakage of automotive glass, especially windshields. May be used for any protection and packaging applications on tempered or safety glass where durability, weatherability, UV resistance, and clean removal are important. Marcy Tip-Tape is ideal for protecting corners of windshields during shipping, handling, and storage.
Marcy Tip-Tape utilizes an adhesive that is more aggressive, and a ﬁlm that is thicker, than typical protective ﬁlm tapes. As a result, Marcy Tip-Tape adheres and protects as long as needed, where other ﬁlm tapes may peel prematurely or fail to protect should scraping occur. Marcy Tip-Tape is constructed from a conformable, durable polyethylene ﬁlm, and is coated with a special non-residue adhesive. The product may be used in a wide range of temperatures and extreme weather conditions.
Available in 2.5” and 3” widths, 300’, 600’, and 750’ lengths, and varying perforation lenghts (4”, 5” 6”, and 12”). Available in orange, blue, and clear, as well as other special-order tintings. Available in standard 125 micron thickness, as well as other gauges by special order.
